What do Pts, W, GD and GW mean?
Pts is the score that orders the ranking, W is wins, GD is the game balance (games won minus games lost) and GW is the total games won. Only Pts changes from tournament to tournament — the other three are pure counting.
In 30 seconds
- In Americano play, the points are exactly the games you won — which is why Pts and GW show the same number in that format.
- In Fixed Pairs, Pts depends on the mode the organizer chose: 1 point per win in Simple, 3 in Standard, or the games themselves in Games mode.

Pts — Points
The number that decides the order of the list. In Fixed Pairs it comes from the tournament's scoring mode (table below). In Americano play it's always the sum of the games you won, match by match — the mode chosen for the tournament doesn't apply there.

W — Wins
How many matches the pair (or you, in Americano play) won in the tournament. Losses don't get a column, but you can work them out: matches played minus wins.

GD — Game balance
Games won minus games lost, always signed: +5, −2. It shows whether the wins came easy or tight. Two pairs with the same wins can have very different balances — and that's where it breaks ties.

GW — Games won
Total games won, adding up every match. It ignores the games you lost — it's only what you produced, no deductions.
Where Pts comes from in each case

In Americano play the games of a match count for both players in that round's pair. Your partner changes, but your games stay with you — that's why the ranking is individual and the app writes at the top of the list: “Points = games won by the player across all matches.”
What goes wrong here
- “No ranking yet” with “Enter the first result to see the standings.” — no score has been saved. The ranking is only born with the first result.
- “Head to head” written under a name — not an error: that position was decided by the match between the tied pairs, because their numbers were identical.
- “Empate manual pendente” (pending manual tiebreak) — a dead tie that not even the head-to-head match resolved. In the top three positions, it blocks finishing the tournament (what to do).
- In Americano play there is no How to read button — that legend belongs to Fixed Pairs. In its place you get the fixed note explaining that points are the player's games.
Why it works this way
The engine only counts finished matches with a recorded winner — a half-saved score never becomes a phantom win. The three Fixed Pairs modes exist because every group has its own house rule: some only care who won, some want a win worth 3, and some want every game to weigh on the table. Americano play gives you no choice on purpose: with partners rotating every round, games won is the only fair measure of what you played — and the tiebreak runs through wins and balance, always in the same order for everyone.
